Declutter ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. Unlike traditional cloud-based AI tools, Declutter is architected to process everything locally on your Mac. We operate with a Zero-Telemetry policy for your file content.

1. Local Processing & Data Minimization

All file analysis, classification, and natural language processing is performed on-device using the Apple Neural Engine and local Foundation Models.

• No Cloud Uploads: Your files never leave your device. We do not operate servers to process your personal data.
• Local AI Models: The "Companion" feature uses local Small Language Models (including Qwen 0.5B/0.6B) running entirely on your machine. Your search queries and file metadata are never sent to third-party AI providers.
• Kernel-Level Monitoring: Folders are monitored locally using DispatchSource, ensuring efficient and private real-time file tracking without external dependencies.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

Since we operate 100% on-device, we have no access to:

• The contents of your files.
• Your search history or queries.
• Your file organization structure or matched rules.

3. Network Access

Declutter may use network access solely for:

• Verifying your App Store Pro license (via Apple StoreKit).
• Checking for optional app updates.
• Downloading required AI model weights (one-time) during initial setup.
